Privacy Policy

Veridian Films is the trade name of Veridian Creative LLC, a California limited liability company at 1134 Chorro St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. This policy covers veridianfilms.com.

Effective September 11, 2026.

What we collect

Two things, and that is all.

What you type into the inquiry form. Your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, your event date, your venue or location, and whatever you write in the message field. You choose what to put there.

Technical information your browser sends automatically. Your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visited, and the site that referred you. Every website receives this. We do not go looking for it and we do not connect it to your name.

We do not ask for your payment card numbers, your Social Security number, or anything similar, and we do not want them, so please do not put them in the message field. If you book us, contracts and payments happen away from this website.

How we use it

Inquiry form submissions arrive as an email at [email protected] so that we can answer you. That is the entire purpose. We keep past inquiries so we have a record of who reached out and when.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it or trade it, and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Inquiry emails stay in our inbox indefinitely, because an inquiry from someone planning a wedding two years out is still worth having two years out, and because we keep records of who we have worked with. If you would rather we did not, say so and we will delete yours.

Technical information in server and Cloudflare logs rolls off on those services' own schedules, which are measured in weeks and months, not years. What Meta keeps is governed by Meta's retention policy, not ours.

Advertising, and the Meta pixel

We run ads on Facebook and Instagram. To do that, this site uses the Meta pixel, a piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc.

What that means in practice: when you visit veridianfilms.com, Meta receives a record of the visit, including your IP address and which pages you looked at. If you are logged into Facebook or Instagram, Meta can connect that visit to your account. This is how we are able to show our work to people who have already looked at it, and how we find out whether an ad actually brought anyone to the site.

Meta uses that data under its own policies rather than ours. You can read them at facebook.com/privacy/policy, and you can control what Meta does with it in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

If you would rather not be tracked this way, ad and tracking blockers in your browser will stop the pixel, and so will Meta's own off-Facebook activity controls. Nothing on this site stops working if you block it.

Who else touches your data

Showit hosts this site and delivers the inquiry form to our inbox.

Cloudflare sits in front of the site for speed and security, and logs requests as part of doing that.

Google Fonts serves two typefaces used in the design. Loading a font sends your IP address to Google.

Meta, as described above.

Each of these is a service we use to run the site, not a company we sell anything to. Past them, we share information only where the law requires it.

If Veridian Creative LLC is ever sold, merged, or dissolved, client and inquiry records would transfer with the rest of the business. Anyone taking it over would be bound by the promises made here for information collected under this policy.

This site links out to places like Instagram and Vimeo. Once you click away, you are on their site under their policy, not this one.

Cookies and Do Not Track

The Meta pixel sets cookies. Showit and Cloudflare set cookies the site needs in order to work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no agreed standard for what a website should do when it receives one, so this site does not respond to it. We are saying so plainly because California law requires the disclosure.

Keeping it secure

The site runs over HTTPS, and the inbox that receives inquiries is protected by a strong password and two-factor authentication. We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

We are not going to tell you it is impossible to breach, because no honest business can say that about anything sent over the internet. If we ever learn of a breach that puts your information at real risk, we will tell you.

Seeing, changing, or deleting what we have

Email [email protected] and tell us what you want. We will tell you what we hold on you, correct it, or delete it. Expect a reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm that you are who you say you are before handing over personal information, which is a protection for you.

California residents: we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. The Meta pixel does involve sharing browsing activity with Meta for advertising purposes, which is why it has its own section above instead of being buried in a list.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom

We work internationally and we are glad to hear from you. Your information is processed in the United States. The legal basis is your consent when you send an inquiry, together with our legitimate interest in running and measuring a business website. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or object, and the same email address handles all of it.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change it, we will update the effective date at the top and post the new version here. Material changes stay noted on this page for at least 30 days. The version you are reading is the current one, so the date at the top is the thing to check.
